Some people make gifts for their children’s teachers, I make gifts for our beloved dog walker! I always struggle with what to give our walker as a gift. We only know her from a few meetings and her twice a week notes, but our dog adores her. I found out that her favorite color was purple and went to my stash, I had some purple!
I made her an infinity scarf for chilly days and a Bernadette Cat mug rug.
The infinity scarf was made using Maroon Telkari Medallions of the Filigree Collection from Art Gallery Fabrics that I have had in my stash for years along with a tan solid. This scarf was made using 9″ strips of fabric and is looped three times. After making both 9″ and 18″ wide scarves, I decided that I prefer them 18″ wide.
Sidenote: I am thinking about posting a tutorial for my infinity scarf because it is wider than others that are out there. Would you be interested in one? Let me know in the comments!
Here is the 18″ width infinity scarf, looped twice (please excuse the self portrait).
Back to the gifts! You may remember Bernadette from the Cat Quilt I posted last week, this was my trial block so she is a bit wonky, but I love her all the same. She is the same set of Architextures fabric that I used in the wall hanging. She is quilted in a grid pattern in gray Aurifil.
So what do you think, are you interested in a scarf tutorial? Let me know!!
