If you are new to andpins, hello! My name is Elizabeth and I have a thirty+ year old Bernina sewing machine (the lovely 801), a celery Featherweight and a relatively new found love for quilting and a passion for baking, hence the blog name. This is a space for my work, my musings, favorite recipes and other things I like. I am an active member of the Philadelphia Modern Quilt Guild, Baltimore MQG and Southern Comforters Quilt Guild (I moved from Philly to the southern Baltimore suburbs this summer). Finishing up three quilts that need to be machined quilted. I’m afraid to try it!! But I need to get over that fear and just do it!!
My list has way more than three things! but the next three are block of the month for my guild, pretty pink dress, and charity quilt(s)
Learn to long arm, enter a quilt into a show and finish my huge pile of UFOs! 2015 is going to be busy!
Some potholders, finishing up hand sewn ornaments, and a square quilt that I’ve been working on forever but haven’t finished as it’s for me, not a gift, and things for me always get pushed for things I do for others!!

Only one thing on my quilty list and it will have to wait until after Christmas. I want to make my daughter a quilt for her bed with fabric I bought right after she was born for that purpose (she’s 7… I’m a bit behind schedule)

First I need to finish the rag quilt I am working on. a quilt for my oldest son, and I would like to find a new bag for our library trips

Finish fixing some old quilts my husband made years ago; make *my* first quilt for my daughter and make another for my sister.
I plan to make a quilt for my sister – I just bought the fabric and need to work out what the design will be… I also want to make an appliqued duvet cover for my toddler’s future big girl bed. As for the third, I’m not sure – those two are rather large projects right now!
Pajama pants and a quilt for my oldest grandson. Then a quilt for my great nephew who is getting married.
These won’t be done by Christmas but… a Swoon for my daughter who is graduating high school this year, a divided tote, and some blocks for a friend.
