Hand tied Quilt

It is finally done (well it has been done since the beginning of August) and I had a moment to take it outside to photograph it. This is my first solo quilt and my first experience with hand tying. I am extremely happy with the way that it turned out. Now that I have one under my belt, quilts are coming together much faster.

Not bad for getting it pieced in February and finally deciding how to actually quilt/tie in July. A huge thanks to Carrie Strine and her magazine Hand and Hand for giving me the instructions and confidence to actually hand tie the quilt.

The quilt featured happens to be my first solo quilt, the one that I hand tied. […]
